Uh-bung character design

Uh-bung is a character inspired by the Korean word “abanghada,” which describes a state of seeming slightly foolish or slow to catch on, yet gentle, harmless, and kind-hearted. Everyone goes through a period of clumsiness and awkwardness. It’s not something limited to childhood; adults experience it too. However, as adults, we tend to hide those sides of ourselves and feel ashamed of them. Through the character Uh-bung, I wanted to convey the message that it’s okay to be slow and clumsy, and that there is nothing wrong with being that way.
